Abstrak: | With the rapid growth for the various industries in the Federation of Malaya, factory structures of all sizes are being erected continuously since the Independence in 1957. The basic requirements govern a factory design shall generally be a Central or Administrative unit, a Production unit, An Assembly unit and a Storage unit. Every factory has its particular pattern of operation , therefore each of the above-mentioned requirements varies according to its own function with ample flexibilities for future expansions. The choice of materials for this type of buildings should always, be carefully studied and employed. Fireproof materials should always be recommended for security and safety of the workers. A good factory plan should incorporate good traffic circulation, adequate ventilation, noise control and colour scheme, in order to create a better working atmosphere and thus produce better production efficiency. |
